Public engagement

 

The Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes ANVUR defines Public Engagement as the set of organized activities at an institutional level by a University, through its dedicated structures, in a no profit attitude, with an educational goal, within a perspective of social development and cultural enhancement, to engage with a non-academic audience.

The Department of Humanities benefits from a consolidated network involving the most relevant stakeholders of the territory (foundations, libraries, museums, cultural associations, schools and public authorities) in order to develop a number of public engagement activities.

Mostly carried out thanks to individual scholars and their territorial network of partners, such activities cover many fields and keep growing.
